A fossiliferous limestone that is extracted exclusively from the Black Sea region of Turkey. Formed through the sedimentation of calcium carbonate minerals, that crystallize under intense heat and pressure, this limestone contains fossils of ancient life forms that lived 20 million years ago in the sea that existed before and during the formation of the landmass that is now Türkiye. It is also these fossils that add the extra durability that Rustic Green Marble is well renowned for. The mohs scale hardness of this limestone is between that of marble and granite. More durable and resilient than the average marble and softer than the average granite.
